Originalni opis knjige
Phoniatrics is the medical specialty devoted to communication disorders. This book draws on the specialized insights and extensive clinical experience of phoniatric experts from across Europe to offer a basis for the harmonization of European training programs and the development of concerted training standards, with the goal of guaranteeing a high quality of phoniatric care for all European patients. The interdisciplinary character of phoniatrics is mirrored in the contributions from a range of other medical and non-medical disciplines. The contents comprise communication disorders from the newborn child through to the elderly. Voice disorders, swallowing disorders, developmental language disorders, speech/articulation disorders and acquired speech and language disorders are all covered. This book is intended for residents and practitioners in phoniatrics, as well for ENT physicians, medical students and speech and language pathologists and therapists.
